A Passion for Hair Since Day One
My name is RaDona Ludlow. I’m married to my best friend, we have five children, and I have been passionate about hair since I was young enough to braid my first ponytail. From the very beginning I was fascinated not just by what a great haircut looks like, but by what it does — the confidence it gives a woman, the morning it gives back to a busy parent, the way it makes a little girl feel like a princess walking out of the salon.
After graduating from high school I went straight to Bon Losee Hair Academy, earned my cosmetology licence in 2000, and opened my own salon in central Utah — south of Provo — where I’ve been cutting, colouring, styling and doing nails for clients of all ages and all hair types ever since.

What’s always set me apart is that I connect with clients on a personal level. Whether I’m cutting a toddler’s first bob, styling a woman’s pixie for her 60th birthday, or teaching a mum how to French braid her daughter’s hair at home — I treat every client like family. That hasn’t changed in 25 years and it won’t.

In 2012, Boys and Girls Hairstyles started as a YouTube channel — a way to share what I was doing in the salon with a wider audience. The idea was simple: take everything a client learns in the chair and make it available to anyone at home, anywhere in the world, for free.
Over the next 13 years that idea grew into something far beyond what I expected. More than 800 tutorials. Millions of views. And over 220,000 people — from Utah to the UK to Australia — who subscribe to the channel to learn how to do their own hair, their daughters’ hair, and their mothers’ hair, all from a small salon in central Utah.
